Vintage Laces

Some of the Vintage Laces
Some of the Vintage Laces

Do you remember skinny jeans and  “Fast Car” when it was sung by Tracey Chapman first time round?  Well just like all good music and fashion comes round again – so does the opportunity to get involved in a team sport.

Vintage Laces is for anyone who enjoyed being part of a club when they were younger and wants to have the opportunity to get fitter, meet some new friends and play /learn how to play football.

Average age so far is around 39 but if you’re younger or older don’t count yourself out.  We chop and change what we are doing to make sure everyone has a chance to take part and have some fun.

Vintage Laces runs on Wednesday evenings from 7pm -8pm at Stepney Green Astro E1 3NG.  Call 07702 948546 or email hello@limehouselaces.co.uk for more details or just turn up. It’s free.  No specialist equipment or clothing required, just trainers and something comfortable.  It’s a female only session led by a female coach.  No experience or fitness necessary.  Sense of humour an advantage.

What our members say:

“Vintage Laces has given me the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and train with women who want to achieve the same. Since joining Vintage Laces my stamina has increased and I am conscious of eating better.  The most important thing about attending is simply the fact that it is really fun and I look forward to it every week”.  Sabs

“I like coming to Vintage Laces as it keeps me exercised. I like learning new skills and also the team spirit of having a shared purpose with others in the session and everyone supports each other”  Rebekah

” I think it’s really important that we set positive role models for the girls in Limehouse Laces.  It’s much easier to ask them to play 100% and learn new skills and make mistakes because they see us trying.  It so important for them to realise that sport plays a key part in a female’s life no matter what age you are.  It’s cool to play sport and learn new skills even when you are 40 years plus! ”  Vikki
